JEWEL AND MARKETTCOM ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP TO INTRODUCE THE NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN TO THE MIDDLE EAST
This has been made possible through their strategic partnership with Markettcom, a premier brand licensing agency recognized for championing global brands in their expansion endeavors throughout the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
The New York Botanical Garden, a much-loved national historic landmark since its establishment in 1891, continues to be a world-renowned botanical garden, educational institution, and pioneer in plant science and research. Markettcom, with its deep understanding of the MENA market, will introduce and magnify the presence of the New York Botanical Garden in the region.
The launch envisions a diverse range of products, encompassing home décor, apparel, accessories, fragrances, and food, all of which draw inspiration from NYBG’s extensive archive of more than 11 million items that span 10 centuries. Proceeds from the program support the organization’s work in conservation, horticulture, and education.
Amer Bitar, Co-founder and CEO of Markettcom, expressed, “We are elated to announce this monumental collaboration with Jewel, making it possible to bring the exceptional botanical experience of the NYBG to the Middle East through a great range of consumer products.”
“We are thrilled to partner with an agency like Markettcom,” remarked Julie Newman, CEO and Founder of Jewel. “With their strong experience in growing reputable brands, we are excited to see NYBG product introduced to a new audience in this region.”
About The New York Botanical Garden
Founded in 1891, The New York Botanical Garden is the most comprehensive botanical garden in the world and an integral part of the cultural fabric of New York City, anchored in the Bronx. More than one million people visit the Garden each year to connect with nature for joy, beauty, and respite, and for renowned plant-based exhibitions, music and dance, and poetry and lectures. Innovative children’s education programs promote environmental sustainability and nutrition awareness, graduate programs educate the next generation of botanists, while engaging classes inspire adults to remain lifelong learners. The 250-acre verdant landscape—which includes a 50-acre, old-growth forest—and the landmark Enid A. Haupt Conservatory support living collections of more than one million plants. Unparalleled resources are also held in the LuEsther T. Mertz Library, the world’s most important botanical and horticultural library with 11 million archival items spanning ten centuries, and William and Lynda Steere Herbarium, the largest in the Western Hemisphere with 7.8 million plant and fungal specimens. Committed to protecting the planet’s biodiversity and natural resources, Garden scientists work on-site in cutting-edge molecular labs and in areas worldwide where biodiversity is most at risk.
